The issues of intensification of inter-parliamentary cooperation between Ukraine and Rwanda were discussed during the meeting of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Rwanda Viacheslav Yatsiuk with the President of the Senate of the Parliament of Rwanda Dr. Francois-Xavier Kalinda. During the meeting, the Ukrainian diplomat expressed gratitude for the unwavering solidarity of Rwanda with the people of Ukraine in their struggle for freedom and independence, for the consistent support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state. Viacheslav Yatsiuk highly appreciated the successes of Rwanda in socio-economic development, confirming Ukraine's interest in deepening bilateral relations and bringing them to a qualitatively new level. The Ambassador of Ukraine noted the significant potential of our country to become a valuable partner for Rwanda in such strategically important areas as agro-industrial sector, information technologies, energy, as well as in promoting the training of highly qualified personnel. He particularly emphasized the importance of inter-parliamentary relations as an effective tool for strengthening mutual understanding and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between Ukraine and Rwanda.

In turn, the President of the Senate expressed gratitude for the first visit of the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Parliament of the Republic of Rwanda, calling it another step towards strengthening friendly relations and mutual understanding between the two states. François-Xavier Kalinda confirmed his readiness to further promote the development of a mutually beneficial partnership between Ukraine and Rwanda, in particular through mechanisms of inter-parliamentary cooperation.

The meeting was also attended by Vice-Presidents of the Senate Nyirahabimana Soline and Mukabaramba Alvera.
