The meeting of the Ambassador of Ukraine to Rwanda Viacheslav Yatsiuk with the Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources of Rwanda Mark Magabe, hold on September 17, 2025, was dedicated to determining the most promising areas of future cooperation in the agro-industrial sector between Ukraine and Rwanda.
The Government of Rwanda pays special attention to technological modernization and increasing the productivity of agriculture, which is traditionally one of the key sectors of the national economy.
In this context, the greatest interest for Rwanda in future cooperation with Ukraine is in such innovative areas as mechanization and digitalization of the agro-industrial complex, the use of space and unmanned technologies in the agricultural sector, increasing soil fertility, the production of mineral fertilizers, veterinary drugs and vaccines. Ukraine has significant opportunities to become a valuable partner for Rwanda in these and many other areas.
During the meeting, a number of ideas were discussed that could contribute to the effective realization of the potential of Ukrainian-Rwandan cooperation, including an agreement to begin joint work to organize the first business mission of Ukrainian companies to Rwanda in order to launch practical projects in priority areas.
